We traveled as a couple from Istanbul (original start point USA) to Uzbekistan. We took the 8 day private tour of Uzbekistan. We stayed overnight in Tashkent, traveled by plane to Khiva, by train to Bukhara and Samarkand. Then returned to Tashkent. The communication throughout the trip was excellent with our contact Amir. We were promptly met at all stations by a driver who clearly identified himself. Our guides were all excellent and the hotels were amazing in terms of quality, staff and food. We traveled in the heat of summer but the trip was not at all unpleasant. The hotels were listed as three star or better. They are all better. The history and site seeing were top notch. The rich history of Central Asia from the Muslim/Timurid Renaissance through the Soviet period are on full display. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful and hospitable country.
